Neil had only one paid job since leaving school and this did not last long. Neil’s nextstep Adviser encouraged him to apply for permanent jobs and improve his basic skills in reading and maths.
Neil said "Improving my basic skills enabled me to progress into employment. My confidence improved and also my communication skills… I am proud of where I am today – a new scooter, bank savings and independence."
